Mr. Pate is Of Counsel to the Firm and represents clients in civil and criminal matters. Mr. Pate is a former Assistant State’s Attorney for Baltimore County (1992–1998). From 1998–2006, Mr. Pate was an associate in the Law Offices of Covahey and Boozer, P.A. and focused his practice in civil litigation in state and federal court. Since 2006, Mr. Pate has maintained a private practice in the Baltimore area focused on civil litigation.

Mr. Pate handles most types of civil and criminal cases. Mr. Pate’s practice is focused on defense in lender liability cases, including Truth in Lending Act violations, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (“RESPA”) disputes, and foreclosure defense. Mr. Pate has appeared as counsel in most jurisdictions throughout the state and frequently practices in United States Bankruptcy Court.
